Of course, because at NLS, you would get to see first hand how the human rights of the PhD students would be repeatedly violated by the admin.
I dont think you should do it in an NLU. I think the best bet is to get into a JNU/ TISS type place and do a disciplinary phd. If it HAS to be law- then NLS I guess, but beyond that theres a huge disparity in quality.
Every good faculty who has left NUJS in the last 5 years has also had the same complaint about the students, including gems like Saurabh. So don't pretend that you all treasure and respect good faculty. Students always get the faculty whom they deserve.
they'll try and get their VC sacked but never discuss issues such as these with him
When I was in NUJS, AKP used to mark projects by the kilo. More the pages more the marks. I literally copy-pasted from Wikipedia and filled up pages. Got a good grade.
Exactly! She is the one who made the reel, so people are criticising her. Why do Gen Z kids have to make everything about gender rights and culture wars?
If NUJS students start getting marked based on merit, then most of them will remain in the first year for ever.
And do you value the 4-5 faculty who are such exceptions? No. Nor are you interested in learning what they have to offer. So why should more good people go down there to teach you?
Very valid points. A professor at NUJS (AM) marks only on the basis of which student takes notes in class and butters him up.
So a clearly trollish statement highlighting the superiority of NLS faculty will be allowed, but a factual statement about their drawback will be moderated by redaction? Nice PR, mod!
While the rest who are in majority will complain against the faculty, give bad feedback and put pressure on admin to change the results. Who wants such grief in life?
Same. Completely agree as someone who has studied at an NLU and currently teaching at another.
Lol, I have seen โ–ฎโ–ฎโ–ฎ profs not having any clue during PhD presentations and evaluation of thesis. The less said about quality, the better. Most of them harp on name dropping and linguistic pedantry, barring a few exceptions.
NLS'27 here. Not sure about what's happening elsewhere but the answer scripts and scrutinised pretty well here.
Only NLSIU profs read and grade properly. Elsewhere itโ€™s all jugaad and grade inflation by mediocre profs.
Or those who actually deserve to be the toppers will finally end up doing well instead of bootlicking the professors during classes or โ€˜class interactionโ€™.
If they do start reading carefully and grading accordingly, at least 40% of students across all NLUs won't finish their degrees in five years, but would have to repeat.
This is more common than you think.

My profs mark based on past GPA. This is why it is important to start law school with a high gpa.
Yes, my junior batch at GNLU had raised severe shortfalls in the correction methodolgy followed by one of the โ–ฎโ–ฎโ–ฎ professors teaching โ–ฎโ–ฎโ–ฎ
If youwatch the man sitting behind her in the video, he is also doing the same thing. But due to misogyny only she is targeted.

What is the ground for filing FIR? It may be ground for disciplinary proceedings but I don't see any criminal offence here.
