Hello

I am 35 years of age and I wish to pursue LLB from NLSIU after appearing for NLSAT

Are there good placements after completion of the course?

What lies ahead ?

Is it prestigious for excellent career opportunities?

Kindly guide.
Placements are good enough, but don’t expect T1 firms to hire you as they prefer 5 year students (for the sole reason that they have gone through a more β€œcompetitive” selection process). Expect placements in in-house roles or T2 firms.
Is the 3-year law degree from NLS the best in terms of ROI in the country among the 3-year version?
Not really. With an investment of at least 12 lakhs over a period of 3 years, it's not worth it as only a minor percentage of the batch is expected to get placed. Till now, no one has got a PPO. If you are looking for a 3-year LLB degree, go for DU or some other TLC and spend that money on the Judiciary. The curriculum at TLCs is more suited to govt exams that mainly look for rote-learning.
its realistic in the least. law has been saturated not because a lot of people doing it, but because anyone is able to di it, unlike engineering and medical. Know the difference between the two.
Even if the 3-year LLB is not scraped, the AIBE needs to be harder, similar to how it is in the US. Only then will people actually respect lawyers and lawyers will be able to earn a good living.
"Unlike engineering and medical" What are you on about? Engineering is THE most saturated field in our country. Look at data science and software jobs for Indian grads and stop preaching. Then look at the number of people who give neet. Then look for people in civil services. Then uh, architecture and uh academia and...do you get where this is going?

With a workforce of over a billion most fields are going to be saturated. You're not saying anything revolutionary with the "but because anyone is able to" line lmao.

Anyone can do right about anything in our country and that should be promoted instead of being looked down upon.

The above reply was pathetic because the commenter portrayed himself as a victim. If you're good enough, you wouldn't need to beg others to not join the race. I can go on about the beauty of law and how you can restart your career at any age and how in different countries a ton of people do law in their 30s or 40s after retiring from one career and are still wildly successful but I'm sure it'd fall on deaf ears.

Do logon ki race mein second aakr khush honge fir koi teesra aaye toh pls saar this isn't fair saar ka rona chalu kardengeπŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ bhai mehnat karo aur ye victim mentality se bahar niklo.

And op, go ahead if you're determined enough. Age is a really arbitrary thing. (Checkout a few reddit threads on people doing law in their 30s)

Nls llb is also seeing a push from the admin so it'd be a decent option (absolutely do talk to current students there though)
First get selected and then ponder over these things...., until then it is a pipe dream. You can only give it your best shot.
Students prepare for JEE because IITs have good placements and a good career prospect. It's same for all competitive exams. Why would someone spend time preparing without having a good picture of the future that lies ahead in case they Crack the exam?
