Then look at the number of people who give neet. Then look for people in civil services. Then uh, architecture and uh academia and...do you get where this is going?

I can go on about the beauty of law and how you can restart your career at any age and how in different countries a ton of people do law in their 30s or 40s after retiring from one career and are still wildly successful but I'm sure it'd fall on deaf ears.

Students prepare for JEE because IITs have good placements and a good career prospect. It's same for all competitive exams. Why would someone spend time preparing without having a good picture of the future that lies ahead in case they Crack the exam?
Even if the 3-year LLB is not scraped, the AIBE needs to be harder, similar to how it is in the US. Only then will people actually respect lawyers and lawyers will be able to earn a good living.

Not really. With an investment of at least 12 lakhs over a period of 3 years, it's not worth it as only a minor percentage of the batch is expected to get placed. Till now, no one has got a PPO. If you are looking for a 3-year LLB degree, go for DU or some other TLC and spend that money on the Judiciary. The curriculum at TLCs is more suited to govt exams that mainly look for rote-learning.

Placements are good enough, but don’t expect T1 firms to hire you as they prefer 5 year students (for the sole reason that they have gone through a more “competitive” selection process). Expect placements in in-house roles or T2 firms.
