Recently saw posts of catcalling outside Girls' Hostel at NLUJ. Apparently it's a tradition. Students are being told to
Vc has taken action in coordination with the police, should ideally get resolved
allegedly she wasn’t aware of the issue since she’s only just gotten here
This is height of backwardness and mediocrity at a leading NLU.

How such sick minds join NLU?
Those who did so should be expelled and reported to the police. It’s sexual harassment, simple as that.
coz nlu itself is full of sickos who passed a basic gk exam to get there.
No one said that the students were the ones who were catcalling; this isn’t GNLU. The concerned hostel is close to the boundary of the college premises, and therefore, pedestrians can directly see the terrace of this hostel and also some balconies. Consequently, a certain group of outsiders assembled in a spot and started catcalling students. The VC took cognizance of this issue as soon as she was informed of this custom. She promptly got CCTVs installed, contacted the police commissioners, and appointed two officers to get rid of this menace.
GNLU has long overtaken NLUJ in all aspects. GNLU >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> NLUJ
They have nothing better to do and they have the largest batch size among all NLUs. Hence, they upvote all the illogical comments praising this random NLU that's usually in the news for only wrong reasons otherwise.
THE PPL IN QUESTION ARE JODHPUR LOCALS (from outside the campus), not nluj students
clarifying that it’s not students who are catcalling but locals on the road outside the hostel
Villagers on the road were indulging in this behaviour. Can’t expect to open NLUs in far flung interior villages and then be surrounded by decent people, can you?
Most NLUs have boys bidding on fresher girls and make a league out of it. So lack of decency is not something to be observed in uneducated villagers from 'interior' only.
No, that is restricted to NLUD the only NLU without domicile that respects merit.
gurgaon and noida are prominent cities, but have women suffering unspeakable horrors on a daily basis. Its not the city but the men
Let’s say the whole country is unsafe then :) why not move out
its very costly to move out and hard in this profession, Trust me 99% women want to escape people like you who would do anything but put accountability on men and of course those men
Apologies, then guess I’ll move out so that you can thrive in a safer space :)
I don't think that is the problem though. NUJS is in one of the best parts of the city, and we have a situation very similar to NLUJ here where random men from a neighbouring campus have been catcalling our female peers in the GH at night. This is not the first time, we have regular faceoffs with the students from JU who come to our campus gates with the sole purpose of abusing and intimidating us. Our VC will probably be writing a letter tomorrow regarding the recent incident to the dean of their campus, though it is doubtful that things will change.
Change your own behaviour. Wasn't that far back when NUJS boys had been throwing bottles at NIFT people from the BH.
NUSRL girls' hostel faces the highway and we see worse almost daily. Dogshit uni tbh. Admin. is also asleep at the wheel.
NLS and NALSAR hostels are away from the road so these issues are not there.
Turns out it was a language gap and the innocent crowd was not even catcalling the girls. All these big city girls can’t understand the local language and snowballed a non-issue into a big 1.
These guys were hurling slurs towards the girls, further in the past men have thrown bottles towards the girls hostels and there also has been an incident of a man pleasing himself directly facing the girls hostel.
NUJS has had repeated instances of men masturbating both inside and just outside the campus. Admin brushed it under the carpet
