But when I look back. Some dumb kids from my school days who went to NIT, took CS there are making far far more in Microsoft in hyderabad at my age with far less working hours, almost no weekend calls. While I slog every Saturday and even some Sundays.
Anger and jealousy never has an end my friend.

I regret not enjoying law school enough. I was a workaholic. While all my friends had boyfriends. I generally stayed away from everything. Now I regret these things. Salary is important. But not everything. Improve yourself rather than comparing.
Should your compatriots tread similar paths, like the courtroom or corporate corridors, sharpen your skills before entertaining a detour. Showcase your strengths in the job arena. If their journeys diverge, resist the urge to measure pockets. Focus not on the financial gap but on constant enhancement. Gradual, sustainable progress is the linchpin to enduring triumph. Keep your eyes on the prize, and may fortune favor you.
When I was getting a lower tier NLU i was jealous of my coaching mates getting NLS and NALSAR. When I didn't get a T1 internship I was jealous of my college mates. When I managed to land a T1 job and started working, I got jealous of my friends in IB / top software engineering comps working similar hours but making more money.
My life kept changing and getting "better" but so did the comparisons. I know it is hard to put an end to it, as i admittedly still do it from time to time, but you have to recognise it and put your foot down, and work towards resolving.
