Nothing theyve done required any of that reaction. Youre insane to think they did. They started a job search, they were interested in you, they realised soon enough that they couldnt afford a new hire. You said you would work at a lower salary, they mulled it over and thought it was inappropriate ( because they work in labour and employment persumably) and rejected you.

If you had not abused them and gone insane- they might have given you a job at a future date. Because you did- you have now completely burned that bridge. And Lawyers and HR people talk to each other.

Nobody owes you a job because you interviewed and waited a while. When I started my job search after law school I interned at a place for three months waiting to hear about a job interview that happened on day 1- didnt get it. Was disappointed- but did not let it ruin the relationship. They didnt owe me a job I was not qualified for because I made decisions that were bad? I left that internship, applied to other places- had another better job in 2 months, because folks from the first place served as references.

Waiting a month to hear back is actually not at all bad timeline. You NEED help. But I dont even know if therapy or anger management will help, it seems youre just a spoilt rotten person who has never had to deal with anyone professionally. ¥ou need a damn clue.

You were wrong. Many times for an opening, someone with a lower experience is considered there's some promise in candidate but in these cases, process goes slow. Also, if you're somewhat closer but not the right guy, process would move slow. Lastly, there's a reason for not hiring someone over qualified at a lower position and for a lower salary, because such candidates, especially those at the early stage of career jump overbvery quickly once they get even half better role. So again for the organisation, the process starts from beginning.

Lastly, come what may, by making such slurs, you proved their decision right.

OP here -Here's the whole story. I had applied for an analyst role and in the interview, HR told me it was for a trainee position rather. I had no issues with that. I gave four rounds, and at the end, Even though I expressed my consent to work at a salary that was lower than what I am drawing in my present company and role was a demotion practically, I was more than willing to work at their pay scale.The HR herself told me it was "inappropriate" to hire a graduate for a trainee position, which is clearly baloney as firms and companies alike are devilish when it comes to ethics and morals. They could have simply told that we can't afford you and you don't have the experience to be considered for an analyst, which I admit requires much experience. Why keep people in agony and deadlock. I tried recoding our call to ensure she doesn't back out but he snaked away . Now you be the judge people, at one point you're ok with hiring substandard and cheap talent, but wouldn't flinch at someone asking the right money. And the irony is , the company specializes in Labour and Employment only, lol.
