Arguably, unlike STEM courses, law fac are better utilised with class hours than research hours. Research output from Indian legal academia has little to no impact unless it's as part of a drafting committee or an institutional effort like like NLUD's 39A

All that these show is that faculty are overworked at NALSAR. How can any academic put in such class hours and then conduct any meaningful research? No global university known for research puts this much teaching workload on its faculty.
Prof Vasanthi has taught 69 hours of consti Section A of 3rd year, 64 hours lalbour law 4th year, 50 hours comparative public law llm and a seminar course 28 hours.
I do not understand what you're doing on this platform, since you are clearly not someone from Law.
Your 'BBA Department' is as irrelevant as your opinion.
I do not understand how is this 'fellow' a good teacher. As a student from the BBA department, he only took 8 out of 30 classes and most of the classes that he took were about how good Fuzzy was and how bad Rao is.
Nor do the students. The institutions doing well in the 2020s have all been proceeding with their vision regardless of student grumbling.
Others aren't claiming to be having revolutionary faculty or VC either. This one is and is still not showing anything in terms of results despite that.
Then which law school is actually doing any better ?
Why should we compare NLUs to IITs etc? The point is that if the research performance of NLUs is looked at, NLS isn't doing anything extraordinary, despite having all these supposedly stellar faculty.
Does any NLU even have a good research score ? Especially if you compare it to IITs, IIMs etc
A pity NLS' research score still languishes and its grad outcome still remains the same. So the faculty aren't having any perceptible impact yet. Make of that what you will.
Agreed. It's the attitude that everyone hates. He thinks himself to be the only competent person in this entire campus.
But he doesn't allow the faculty to follow their own work style. Thereby reducing their effectiveness drastically.
Does NLS now have the best faculty in India? Poached from NLUD, NUJS, NALSAR etc. Are we seeing an unfair monopoly of academic excellence. What happens to students of these universities? Especially since NALSAR has no one left.
Are there geniunely any good professors left at NALSAR now ?
