2. Tutions is not just for general studies but NEET and JEE coaching. Parents only allow their sons the same in smaller towns. Girls are asked to pursue smaller vocations. And then the sons will rant that girls have it easy because they are doing smaller jobs and not sent for entrance coaching.

Also, I never meant menial sales or marketing jobs, I was talking about hardcore finance and strategy roles that require high-caliber reasoning and mental aptitude, which sadly most MBA grads don't get into. Same goes for Tech jobs too since Coding>back-end support.
1. Corp offices simply hire based on the batch rank. Girls naturally focus on studies and ace exams and therefore clear placements.
2. While engineering and finance was largely seen as a bros space until a few years ago, many IIM and IIT grads with foreign placements have been women, please follow news articles. I think you are interacting with people from 5 years ago where yes, women were actively discouraged from entering this space.
3. Women don't usually litigate because their parents including mine literally threaten them with arranged marriage, which means you loose your career and life at the hands of literal strangers. There's no money in there and misogyny is very high in the courts as well. Young women are not encouraged to take on cases because clients see them as too incompetent.
Finally , if you think that law is not for the "bright minds", please do everyone a favour and LEAVE.
It goes to displays the general characteristics of the study and profession which paints a very secondary picture of the domain. Almost all the hardworking and bright minds are, no offence, in technology, management, govt service and finance. It can be deduced that law is not that technically challenging an area and hence the crowd here is rightfully so too- laid-back and uninitiated. Since the profession is very nepotistic, unlike other fields, only the privileged ones reach significance, rest all deviate from the practice or profession of law or leave out at mediocrity .
This part plays in favour of women, since they can leave the profession and opt for hypergamy at point, citing the reason that the space is very "tough" for them. Men, on the other hand usually have no choice since they have to stand out in the society, so they slog nevertheless and try to eke out anything they can form the profession. Any comments or opinions would be highly appreciated.
