NFSU and the Directorate General of GST Intelligence (DGGI) have inaugurated India's first digital forensic laboratory in Gandhinagar on 8th January 2024. The next two labs will come up in Delhi and Chennai by March 2024 and the last two will be in Mumbai and Kolkata by June 2024. These five labs with a funding of ₹16 crores will play a key role in tackling financial crimes through advanced digital forensics and cyber security practices. This is a remarkable feat by NFSU and will translate into exceptional opportunities for the faculty, researchers, and students. NFSU is truly thriving and is part of the national narrative in the larger scheme of things. It has a seat at the high table.
