Go back through history- find every time including october 7th when israel has engaged in violence against hamas/plo whatever. Find me an instance where it was unprovoked. Then tell me how many of those instances were provoked? If pakistani alqaedas invaded gujarat and raped women and filmed it on go pro and kidnapped grannies and babies and held them for ransom- would you want the indian state to do nothing?
Explain why israel offered in modern history 5 deals where they gave away more hand than the palestinians have now if they were so obsessed with the tiny miserable spit of land that is gaza? Explain why the oslo accords failed. Explain why camp david summit failed. Explain why sharon pulled his people - graves and all- out of gaza if they were obsessed with territory. You can just keep repeating your received wisdom, but you really have to explain to convince others and address their points head on.

Did you know israel pulled out of gaza completely in 2005/06? and that on october 6 it was under hamas's authority for 17 years? Explain to me why conditions in palestinian controlled gaza were so awful that so many children died without water despite hamas control of the area and overwhelming amount of humanitarian aid pouring into that place? Explain why this happens when the founders of hamas are living the millionaire life in qatar and in other parts of the world? Where did they get their money? if there was a fascist corrupt state in gaza on october 6th- i regret to inform you it wasnt israeli- it was hamas. Yeah israel blockaded them, but that seems a reasonable thing to do when your neighbor is firing rockets at you. While you're at it explain that also- how do a people come to possess more rockets and missiles than they do clean water? How many schools has hamas built since 2005/6? how many hospitals? I’m persuadable. But when I look at Israeli arguments - they acknowledge and respond to everything the other side says. I don’t like many of their answers. When it comes to you guys - you run away from questions. You don’t want to think about difficult things. Which only leads to one conclusion - this is more about virtue signalling for you than any genuine care or concern for Palestinian civilians. You’ve bought into a world view where islamophobia is rampant but anti semitism is not ( even though anti semitism was the most reported hate crime in America for years now). You’ve bought into a world view where brown people are virtuous and white people are evil colonisers- even though most 80% of Israeli Jews do not have european ancestry. And even though more brown and black people have owned other brown and black people as slaves than white people throughout world history. You’ve bought into a world view where Palestinians are good when they reject the establishment of the Israeli state and want land from river to the sea- but if Hindus reject the Muslim invasions and the partition and want akhand Bharat that is religious bigotry. Because somehow Muslims are always oppressed no ? It can’t be that their rates of poverty and low economic mobility is because they chain half of their people to the house and do not allow their women entry into public life and do not teach their children modern science. I know all this about you because I too was a leftist person who thought right wingers just lacked empathy and humanity and I too ran away from contradictions in the wisdom I received in academia and outside it. Until o stopped running away from uncomfortable questions and actually tried answering them. I assure you there’s nothing scary about straying from the party line. It might actually make you a more fully realised human. Try it.
