If the intent is not a placement, but higher studies, then a degree from any of these colleges can be thought of as a step to something bigger?
Or any good nri- seat in a tier-1 (provided you are actually an NRI). You can retake clat and update yourself to general category or just do well there.

If not, then JGLS with good scholarships. If that’s not the case, then try to find hnlu in vacancy.
So do you actually recommend JGLS over any of these Tier 2 colleges?
Lol you are being too kind to Tier-2 NLUs, maybe you will be going to one, that’s why. But when you will go there, you will yourself realise the situation is worse than hell, that’s all. Let’s meet after 2 years?
“Seems” is just based on a lot of assumption—and you have the liberty for that. My question was based on curiosity. Also, the intent of the question was not to justify anything. And thank you so much for your insight!
We are at a stage where having a mere BALLB, even from an NLU, is not enough. There is too much competition. You need something extra. It can be an MBA, an accountancy qualification, a very advanced LLM (like tax law), etc.
RGNUL is suffering because successive Punjab govts haven’t bothered to improve it, plus terrible VCs from the outset. NLU Nationalisation is the only solution. All NLUs suffering these problems should unite.
Ikr! That’s why at I said to myself last year when i missed out on GNLU and had to stick with RML. Kinda whack if you think about it.

Exactly. Apart from bad placements, the student body isn’t that very smart plus internal politics makes the whole Uni polarised. Not worth it tbh.
Judiciary and UPSC prep can be done equally well at RGNUL. Higher studies is difficult, because you need to stay self-motivated for five years all by yourself. Not impossible though, I know people from RGNUL who have pursued foreign LLMs with scholarships.
