Nirma with the current dean had a downward trajectory in terms of rep and the culture is also a bit suffocating as far as I've heard. HNLU might offer a broader set of options and the NLU tag does help. Even if you're eyeing for a corporate job, HNLU is performing quite decently in the past few years.
Find people on LinkedIn who have made a similar switch and weigh in the pros and cons. Best of luck :)
You should also get MNLUM*, RMLNLU and HNLU.
Suppose if I wanted to do Judiciary and I'm sure of it without a doubt, then it might not make much sense to waste an year's progress for the NLU tag and a better alumni base. But suppose if I want to go for corporate, then it'll make a lot of sense since HNLU has good placements, it conducts Day Zero, it is an obvious choice, and that one year wouldn't mean much if you get the job.
If we consider a more realistic possibility of you not being sure about what to do (which is a better way to go about it), then all around HNLU still offers a much better life. It'll keep your avenues open to pursue whatever you wish, contingent on your efforts.
You'll get a better campus, better food (yes, I've heard that the food isn't that great in most of Nirma's PGs), a better hostel, better alumni, better connections, and presumably a better career. Make the decision owing to your circumstances, and I can assure you that the most you'll lose if you choose HNLU is an year, nothing more than that :)

For proof- ask around your batch and seniors for placements at Nirma for the outgoing batch. They are extremely low (even PPOs), this is because of the downfall which Nirma has seen recently.
HNLU will offer you way more and shift if your aim is a job.
