prospective standing. Who look more poised for growth, NLUD, has a sizeable advantage in its location. Will GNLU be able to outclass that despite its location limitations? I know GIFT city is on the way, however still not as good as expected
AAP has not shown any interest in NLUD unlike the previous Congress government. On the other hand, GNLU has traditionally enjoyed a good relationship with the BJP government in the state. They also focus on career oriented professional courses more than NLUD does, which makes them a better bet for placements. On the other hand, NLUD students normally do better in UPSC, policy body, academia. The proximity of NLUD to SC also means a steady stream of good visiting faculty and guest lectures.
What are these βcareer-orientedβ courses that only GNLU has anyway? And how exactly does that automatically lead to higher placements or whatnot? Honestly, I respect GNLUβs rise over the past few years and itβs quite commendable, but in nearly every metric from foreign jobs to faculty to international moot wins, NLUD is well ahead.
If only more students would have meant better placements, then JGLS would have the best placement in the country. Stop being jealous of other's better performance.
If JGLS was selective in its admissions and took in the same number of 200-odd people GNLU admits every year, even they would have better placements due to higher student quality. Point being, GNLU is only ahead of NLUD (and even NLS and NALSAR for that matter) in absolute numbers because of the large batch size.
I have said this before and will say it again: GNLU will overtake NUJS just as IIMA overtook IIMC despite being younger. I would argue that it has happened already. By 2027 you can firmly lock in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Delhi and Gandhinagar as the Big 4 T1 NLUs. Govt backing matters. Modi matters. Adani-Ambani-Cyril maters. Mamata also matters (negatively, for NUJS).
Not a good comparison. IIMA was just a few months younger than IIMC and both admitted their first batches in the exact same year (1964). GNLU may overtake NUJS but thatβs mostly because NUJS admin shot themselves in the foot rather than GNLU actually being so much better. And Iβm not from NUJS, but until recently when NUJS increased its batch size, NUJS was considered hands down better than GNLU.
We understand that you are a BJP supporter who hates Bengal and has nothing useful to contribute to any discussion other than the same fantasy. For instance, in a post involving NLUD and GNLU, you bring up NUJS needlessly.
Which part of this comment is trollish? It is based on the comment earlier. Why is NUJS even mentioned in this thread that's about GNLU and NLUD? Do mods get a kick out of ugliness and hatred being paraded in the comments section?
