Nobody has answered the question yet: what subject does she teach and in what context was a discussion on Bumble happening in class?
Social interaction in the context of choice and exercise thereof.
It was in context of Gender and Sexuality, do you just randomly wake up and decide to lie?
Does the Women's commission have jurisdiction over a private institute?
Leftists can't understand that this was a breach of privacy? Strange!
Persons makes profile on public platform and is shocked that it gets seen in public. Breach of privacy where?
Gets shown in public by a teacher to a class consisting of students who may or may not be having profiles on the website, and gets their profiles dissected by someone who owes duty of care to them.
The criticism and actions taken are all part and parcel of the risk that she accepted by taking such a foolhardy step. Y'all probably should know that the T&C of Bumble is not the only thing that governs student-teacher relations.
This should be the end of the matter. Balanced response from the institute.
Obviously this is Admissions and Outreach team of JGLS doing official propaganda.
This sounds like "how can i be homophobic when my bestfriend is gay"
Sameena was not the organiser of the Palestine event. Don't mix up the two issues. Also WC chairperson visit was not related to the Palestine talk.
She would have probably created Bumble profiles with the pics of the homeless.
She wasn't. Yet her opening line in the email was "first of all, please attend the talk?"
See the WC chairpersons' tweet. WC chairperson did mention the political affairs at jindal (read: hamas event)

Besides, that video wouldn't have come out had she not sent that email singling out Hindu and RW students.
"Prof Dalwai's mail about the Jai Shri Ram slogan was an internal faculty mail"

Not true. It was specifically sent to a student and the student was singled out (exactly how many of the faculty in JGLS single out RW students).
It was sent on the all faculty emailing list, what are you talking about, no student was tagged on this thread.
Is there any proof that any right wing student has been penalised in grading or been denied their freedom of speech because of their views ?
The authorities (not uni authorities) have been informed about it. Why should I share such sensitive details on an anon platform?
To lend credence to your claim? I'm not necessarily opposed to hearing evidence that would prove it- but if you want people to believe what you have to say is true- then the onus is on you to provide evidence.
The ones whom I want to believe me have been furnished such proof. I don't care whether you do or don't.
Thats fair- but these problems dont get resolved by simply complaining to deans. If you want this to be treated as a real issue- some of that work of convincing folks will have to be done.
Deans are complicit too. I don't expect them to do anything about it.
Would jumping of three grades on revaluation count as adequate proof?

Btw, concerned deans have been informed about this.
LOL. The women’s commission can’t do shit. Children of some of the biggest BJP leaders are students/alumni of JGLS, including Cabinet Ministers.
Exactly. Also if reliable sources are to be believed, this hit came right from the top.
A complete witch hunt by the RW. Please note:

1. Bumble profiles are not private

2. The word "chutiya" means fool, not just a vulgar slang. It was used by the prof in the former context.
Former faculty here. Very true that the place rewards mediocrity. Just look at the what passes for scholarship there. Yikes.
Showing dating profiles is common practice in many research areas and also in many classrooms across the world. Your comment makes it seem as it is unusual and a bad teaching method, which it is definitely not.
What rubbish! Showing dating profiles is common in which classrooms "across the world"? Don't lie and belch nonsense just because you're anonymous. Having studied and taught at law schools in various jurisdictions, I can attest that it it NOT AT ALL COMMON anywhere.
You have very poor knowledge of law if that's what your argument is. The teacher's duty to the students is not governed by the Bumble T&C, but the institutional norms and general duty of care. You have got a very weird notion of privacy.
Your reply is premised that she showed students profiles knowingly and on purpose, which she did not. A student popped up randomly, she didn’t know it was a student at that moment.
She was showing local profiles inside uni premises and did not anticipate that student profiles may pop up? That does not really reflect well on her intelligence.
Can you name a law school from abroad and the teacher who did this in class, showing profiles of students from that very university?
That, however, would be a breach of privacy. You have google, you can find this information very quickly.
So, no proof in support of your claim then, thought as much. And if Google contains news about it, then that would make it newsworthy item and not a norm, just like this wasn't.
Have you even studied evidence law? If you're making an assertion you have the onus of proof to provide the examples. Which is doubtless unnecessary given that this is aboslute rubbish
"...Your content will be visible to other users ON THE APP..." NOT IN A CLASSROOM! DO YOU GUYS LEAVE YOUR BRAINS BACK WHEN YOU COME TO ARGUE IN THIS SITE?
You're assuming that they had any to leave behind in the first place. They are the Jiggles brats, giving the real hard working students there a bad name.
With consent of the people involved, especially if they belong to the same group of students from the same institution. You missed out on that part. Can't do a half-hearted exercise like that.
Agreed. Furthermore, when students objected to making profiles on Bumble to "analyse", she suggested that make a fake profile and you can use Rahul Gandhi's picture. What kind of nonsense passes off for teaching these days?
