Hi guys, I will be applying for internships. I know that someone works at some team and may know whether the team is hiring or not. Could you anonymously tip on which team of your firm, which office location, firm is hiring (I like CM though, from a Tier 1 NLU)
Bharucha, Mumbai's transactions team is on a freeze too due to very little A0-A2 exits last year. Thus, this year they may be very conservative in hiring like every other firm in the market.
@kian please pin this thread, as literally 80% audience at LI is asking for this information. Also for seniors levels, people can mention laterals etc.
How this helps
1. Knowledge of hiring and internship strategy and not getting misled by HR.
2. Knowing the partner and attrition patterns
For firms
3. Knowledge common will increase changes of better candidates and not restrict to a few
I have an assessment lined up at CAM but they have frozen the hiring for my batch. What should I do? Is there any scope of hiring even after such announcement?
IndusLaw made a lot of offers last year - just look at the Capital Markets and GC/Transactions hiring last year across offices. Nonetheless, they are known to be very selective as far as PPOs & callbacks are concerned. While the Mumbai office has been very aggressive with callbacks and assessments, Delhi and Bangalore teams tend to be small (having lesser scope for bagging offers). Best of luck!
Im from the 2026 batch of a Tier 1 NLU and awaiting confirmation through the place com from CAM for May-June 2024. Should I abandon or go forward because CAM usually has one internship policy.
Trilegal CM is not hiring at all. Just heard a guy with investment banking experience was denied an internship. They have too many people, too many partners for the few mandates they are doing. Even in the recent IPO surge, they did so less work.
CAM, SAM, Indus, Trilegal, Khaitan, S&R Associates, JSA.
L&L, Saraf, ELP, Bharucha, any other firm.
This will really help us understand.
Let me start this
CAM Noida Corp- Not hiring

5) SAM CM Delhi - despite the attrition they are not hiring
