And they did speak to Muslim women's organizations before writing this draft. How many Muslim women have you spoken to? to assume that they want to be under the boot of religious authoritarianism perpetuated by upper middle-class muslim clerics? Who told you muslim women dont want a UCC? was it a muslim cleric who would benefit?
We are all either one country or we are not- if you want only muslim people to think about muslim issues and only tribal people to have a say over tribal issues - you are the problem. You are insisting that it is impossible to overcome these societal divisions, that human beings simply lack the ability to recognise each others suffering and act in solidarity. BTW- muslim people have had basically complete say over their personal laws a while now- clearly the community is being held back by its most conservative people in reforming these laws and practices. Agree with you. Vidhi is right in charting their own path. Many respected think tanks in the US are openly conservative and pro-Republican. Nothing wrong if Vidhi rejects the left and sides with the BJP. Not everything should be subject to wokeism.
