The global left is deeply hypocritical when it comes to China . They will rally against the US/Israel/Modi buy not say a word about China's genocide in Tibet and Xinjiang. Even the RW/non-left is afraid to call out China for fear of being targeted by the powerful China lobby, or losing business. Wall Street and Big Tech (even Elon Musk) shamelessly appease China. Richard Gere has been unofficially blacklisted in Hollywood because of his support for Tibet. We have also seen the recent NYT article which exposed the Chinese lobbying system via Neville Roy Singham, including in India. Also, Kavita Krishnan had to leave the CPIML after criticising China and Stalin.
So we must take off our hats to NUJS students and the VC for for having the guts to take on China and doing this. The college may end up paying a price for this, but they have put principle over profits.

It would have been a big deal had NUJS passed a resolution calling China's occupation of Tibet illegal, which they haven't done. I hope they do so and that they also pass a resolution recognising Taiwan as a separate country.
It is common knowledge that China has illegally captured Tibet committed mass atrocities, genocide of tibetans, however the world is silent due to China being a major super power second only to USA, and i doubt now that China will peacefully give back tibet even if the entire world begs them to do it, it would be possible if the entire world blacklists China as Donald trump had intended and stop trade with China, but that too is impossible due to pareto efficiency, Tibet land size is massive almost 80 % of india's size, and it had untapped natural resources of who knows what all shipped to beijing and mainland china which is one of the major contributors of China's monstrous power currently, so in part it is the world to blame for not doing enough to stop the Chinese attack, and now look at how the US, India, Taiwan, Hong kong, Africa etc are all suffering
