Maybe they had a better CV, with other internship experience. I think firms are increasingly lowering relevance of only grades, especially CAM as it may not be the perfect metric? My rank is in the 60s and I was offered PPOs at Indus, SAM
Dude, what’s the issue? Just because someone had contacts doesn’t mean he didn’t work hard or that he received everything on a platter.
Why do you keep spreading fake news? CAM didn't back out of NUJS at all, it came and gave offers too, though not as many as in other years.
Why are you assuming this, aren't firms now not solely looking at grades.
Didn't CAM deliver a rather pompous lecture about importance of academic excellence?Dude,Everyone knows what CAM is.The rank 110 must be the recommendation of a corporate client or relative in Ahmedabad.
The person in question had a CV with a prior internship at CAM, as well as multiple other Tier-1 and Tier-2 internships, all in the same practice area. Moreover, they had an extremely good questionnaire with a vast amount of leadership and co-curricular activities.

The only reason they had that rank was because of missing an exam in the previous semester due to their medical condition at that time.So it was no surprise that they were shortlisted, considering there's more to a candidate than just their rank.

I know you are just some junior or someone who didn't make it on Day Zero. If only you focussed on yourself as much as you do on others.

As for the Day Zero allegations in another post by you here, the market has been extremely bad. So its not really a GNLU problem exclusively. Our batch still managed to get 30+ PPOs in addition to the 30 odd placements at Day Zero. That's a total of 60+ jobs (and not merely offers), all at Tier 1 firms in addition to the Vac Scheme that was successfully converted into a TC. Day One and Call for Applications from other firms/Banks/Companies are yet to happen.

This easily puts GNLU at the top of the bracket in terms of absolute number of jobs.If any other NLU has managed to have 60+ Tier 1 jobs in this market apart from NUJS, please enlighten me.

As far as CAM is concerned, they are and will continue to be a legacy recruiter for GNLU, thanks to the hardwork of our alumni and students over the years.

In any case, you should stop your naïve attempts to turn this into a scandal. You got your two minutes of LI fame, now give it a rest. College isn't going to last forever bro. Stop caring about all of this and focus on your own stuff.

This sounds more like CAMs defense than defense of preferring Ranker 110 over toppers. This doesn't work when tge market is aware of CAMs practises
Although no publications, the guy had completed courses like one in advanced contract drafting along with moots. His rcc rank dropped because of missing exam last sem which wasn’t a true indicator of his percentage. And had he used contacts, he would have been among the 8 who got the job offer, which he didn’t get. And here you are thinking he is personally responsible for you not getting shortlisted. Turns out, all your claims are false and out of jealousy.
Whats new here, nothing. This is so typical of CAM -to dole out offers based on contacts and money.

Bro how is ur reply relevant to the absolutely relevant comment above. The moment the Top 10 rankers are replaced for more experienced or actually better hard workers, they have to call it nepotism.
