Maybe because Indian T1 law schools does not make it to the top 150 law schools in the World and making it into top firms is very difficult!
time to revisit this thread as it didnt get the responses it deserved
Nobody will pick a t1 given that choice. But who gives you that choice?, it's very easy to say aim for Kirkland not kco, but try doing that as a fresher we'll see how it goes
Spot on, bro/sis. OP is clearly privileged to not see why people aim for T-1 law firms.
Because there has been a big demographic change in the composition of such law schools. Early on, mostly students from elite backgrounds with elite ambitions used to make it. Now, it’s mostly people from modest backgrounds with modest ambitions.
May have something to do with the fact that law is a jurisdiction specific qualification. You aren't exactly going to win the Nobel prize in physics and advance humanity. Aim for what you can.
