Hi are A0 associates allowed to shift teams/ practice areas? What's the process like , any insights on this would be very helpful

Yes, allowed.

Talk to your partner, the partner whose team you want to join and then the HR. I know someone who shifted from competition team to lit team loooong ago.

Its tough and not worth it. Its made sure the new team hears about how you were not good enuf and loaded onto that team.Better to look for opportunities outside.

Oh really, so team shifting is not on merit but kinda like you weren't good in your original team wirk

This is interesting, what about pay difference if you shift to another team after like say 6 months or a year of working?
