I disagree with this newspeak. Therapists and psychologists treat mental illness and problems. It's not 'neurodiversity', it's psychological suffering - the mental equivalent of disease. If you want some neurological diversity, join a room of invertebrates.
If you have poor mental health due to genetic or lifestyle causes, therapists help manage symptoms, develop coping mechanisms and live a functional life. They don't treat 'diversity' any more than nurses and doctors and surgeons treat 'diversity'.
You are not a special rare unique beautiful snowflake just because your mind doesn't function normally, any more than a person with a pacemaker is. You have a condition, it needs treatment, that's all there is to it. Hopefully it isn't a chronic condition and you go back to normal soon, but if not, we pray for your improvement.
