Viraj Ananth was not a dropper my friend . And also in the β€˜new pattern’ , not a single dropper topped the exam.

Such a misinformed random comment. There have been droppers who have AIR 1 in CLAT. And not just one or two, but multiple. 2008, 2016, 2015, etc. all have droppers who topped.
CLAT 2023 AIR 2 would be an exception. He was AIR 4400+ in CLAT 2022 and doesn't sound elite or posh. Wonder what he did.
Quite an interesting question.

My theory has always been that CLAT is an aptitude based exam and aptitude comes naturally. It's not something that you can garner in an year or two, although I feel that it's not impossible, you might see some AIR 1s in the future.
The exact number is unimportant, the actual outcome (the college you are allotted) is more pertinent. As someone who got into top 50 in second attempt, I don't feel any less than an AIR 1. We are both in NLS.
Because AIR 1s drop years after entering NLS. If u know, u know!
I have seen people giving clat for their (2nd/3rd/4th) time after taking a full/partial drop or they prepare along with college - but it’s always the freshers who top this exam not the droppers - any reason ??
