Also, an initial discussion was had with the Senior Partners joining from Luthra and the top management. It was discussed that folks joining from L&L will meet their team costs for the year, DSK does not expect them to be profitable instantly. Thus, DSK top management allowed for the entire last FY to meet team costs and get adjusted. However, the new teams were not even able to meet half of the team costs... This continued into the recovery for April and May, after which this decision was taken.
Just astonished that the senior partners didnt fight for the team they took with them? I am sure some internal discussion must have happened on this front as well.
Does this affect the Partners only? Or the entire team including associates?
Part of the decision? Was this an internal decision not to take salaries? or did AD make the decision for them?
Also, the decision was taken since some partners have billed 30% of their entire team costs for the entire year.... That is astonishing.
Always knew that B&S were exactly what BS stands for.
August 2021 Corporate Luthra partners resolution stands reaffirmed.
The senior most associate in the Competition team does nothing but lays eggs and is the sole reason for toxic environment in the team. Keeps having random mood swings and berates juniors for no reason.
L&L Seniors ▮▮▮ and now a number of people who came with them are suffering.
Bad times are coming

The worst is that the Luthra Partners in Delhi are poaching and fighting inside the firm for work from the Non-Luthra Mumbai teams rather than outside the firm for fresh work.
And now that this has backfired on the people who wanted to cause the damage, the "▮▮▮ ▮▮▮" people who reposed trust in you are being asked to leave? Karma is a bitch.
I feel bad for all the above-mentioned "Dead Weight" who left Luthra with a certain amount of trust in the "senior" partners. Betterment of a firm, at the cost of people who you convinced to leave for another firm by having trust in you? Shame.
Either blame someone specific or no one.
Am aware of a Partner and a PA (different practice areas) who are in talks to leave.
Someone somewhere dud not keep their word and others are suffering because of this. The affected are people with families and obligations. SHAME ON THESE GUYS!

The above said, the Sr. Partners who brought people with them from LL should have batted for their people. There is nothing more shameful than a leader who does not bat for his team.
