What will you, as a first-year law student, write about contracts (or much else) that is of any real value or insight? Please buck this trend of needlessly cluttering the world with mostly drivel and give yourself the years to build a solid academic base. Use this to attain decent exposure at your internships and maybe the first couple of years at a firm post your graduation. Thereafter, apply for a good LLM and maybe you'll have something worth saying and it would be best you say it out a grad-students conference first. Only then, should come publication and by this time it shall be in a mid to strong level journal.
