Currently payscale of a judge is

Basic Pay - Rs. 27'000 (many states)

After implantation -

Basic Pay will be 77'000.

This is a massive hike in salaries.
When you add the dearness Allowance, the in hand salary will easily cross 1 Lac.
Brilliant News, I can finally think of Judicial services as a viable career option.
Honestly this makes me wanna consider writing the Delhi Judicial services exam.
Lmao, Modi and BJP has nothing to do with the Implementation of the Judicial Pay Commission, infact many BJP ruled states refused to accept the recommendations of the commission and that is why the SC had to order them to comply or face contempt.
That's what I was wondering too. It is highly unlikely that all the states would immediately agree to this extra burden on exchequer anytime soon.
Inflation would eat away half of that. Plus taxes.
Lol, really and people who work in private sector don't contribute to nation? This is just a massive subsidy by non government employees to government employees.
This is such an important development, why are people not discussing the implications of this order by the Supreme Court, threads on useless topics get a lot of traction and discussion.

Bumping this up.
Never. It suits the government and the SC to have weak judges in the lower courts.
Holy Sh*t this is such a great news, Bumping this up.
