There is great deal of stake and emotions involved in every matter - big or small. Minor mistakes from lawyers can cost a lot to the client. Lawyers carry a heavy burden on their shoulders.
Also, I still hear (first hand) how overworked people are at kco. Good for kco and kudos (no pun intended) for implementing the pool system so efficiently. But optimum utilization = more wear and tear. Hence the need for more / better policies for the most vulnerable.
