The firm has sent out an email unilaterally revising the notice period from 30 days to 90 days. Looks like someone is bracing themselves for record attrition.
They’re incredibly powerful and no regulatory authority is going to intervene. All lawyers can do is withdraw our labour. Not as a strike, but just stop doing the extra stuff (being available on weekends, taking calls etc.)

The worst they can do is fire you
SAM also has a 3 month notice. I've seen it enforced as well. Some partners even strong arm people into staying beyond 3 months.
I’m cracking tf up. Please take a bow! πŸ˜‚
Does the 'elite' employment law practice of Trilegal have anything to say about this? Reflects quite poorly on the firm. Looks like its a 'smaller platform' after all.
Hope they give 200 percent bonuses to make up for this shit move
How practical is it to collect your bonus and then put in your resignation and then just…drag your feet? Spend your notice period not picking up calls after 8 p.m. or on weekends? What are they going to do, fire you?
Yet people join them because they pay 'more'. 3 months notice is non-market. No top tier 1 firm has that long a notice period. Even CAM has a notice period of 2 months!
Almost the most paying firm and still all you can ask for is "pay more". No wonder you're treated like chattel.
Bhai, "employment contract"? You know lawyers are not employees and independent consultants for tax purposes and statutory compliance etc. right? How did you miss this while blabbering bullshit about specific relief and judgments?
Write back and dispute the change saying it wasn't agreed to.
The name of the firm finally makes sense: Tri-legal. Given this change, they should change the name to don't-try-legal, to reflect "market practice".
Haanji, abuse of dominance ka case kon file kar raha hai? ;)
