Make no mistake - there are plenty of exceptionally brilliant attorneys (and successful people in other arenas of life) that are from the so-called lower castes, but who are meritorious, and this post does not apply to them. The problem is with people who are not meritorious enough to cut it, and are given preferential treatment that puts them in a place where they are simply not good enough.
