As someone with 2-3 years PQE in a designated Projects team, wanting to experience some M&A and Gen Corp related practice as well - anyone with suggestions of a good Projects team in any of the firms? Any team that does a mix/ blend of Projects and Gen Corp/ M&A work?
My personal projects teams (for proper mix of pure projects and projects related corp/M&A) ranking is as follows: (1) CAM (2) Trilegal (3) SAM (4) KCO/AZB (tied) (6) L&L (7) JSA. Leaving Indus out after Avirup’s departure, and keeping LinkLegal and HSA out of it since the question was more on which firms have a good mix of pure projects and projects related corp/M&A practice. Though from what I hear if you are in the projects team at Trilegal or AZB, your role in an M&A deal is more limited to due diligence. For partners who are equally comfortable in pure projects work and M&A would be quite a small list, and probably include LV, Santosh and Deepto (CAM), Jatin and Neel (SAM), Avirup (L&L).
