Also , a better idea would be to go to a local club of sports cars owners ( Bombay , Delhi , Madras , Cal , all have these clubs ) and ask them about some stuff ( most would be ready to answer ) , they also have maintenance helps they give out to their fellow members so that you're not at a major hassle with repair costs ( these cars have tons of features to play around with , probably more than one needs sometimes , but all of them come at a cost and the ability to repair is something you MUST take into account , include it as a variable in your excel model ) .
Lest , go to your CA and ask them prepare a basic excel model for you and look out for popular finance options , do ask for them to create at least 5 templates so that you can optimize your decision .
Above is the link. What you say is not true. IIT Bombay/ Madras placed much above LPU or Amity/SRM.
I suggest rent one for a week and see how it changes your life and matches your expectations overall.
exposΓ©-style LinkedIn posts or nasty emails telling the seniors what utter fuckwhits they are. Leave that for later in life.
Given this trend, I wanted to ask:
1. Which law firms are actively hiring for their Capital Markets teams in the next few couple of years?
2. Are firms planning to expand their teams significantly to accommodate the rising number of deals?
3. What skills should law students (Batch of 2025 & 2026) develop to be well-positioned for these roles?
Would love to hear insights from those already working in the sector or those who have visibility on hiring trends. Any thoughts?
This shit is real folks!!!
2. Costs?
3. Benefits?
4. Worth it?
He has filed a case for partition of the ancestral property.
When it will come to notice of the court that the property has been gifted then partition suit will not be maintainable.
In such a circumstance, can not a complaint be made to the State Bar Council to take disciplinary action against such advocate for clearly wasting his clients' and court's time and money and bringing disrepute to the profession?
There is no dream higher than freedom.
And there is always a better dream car than the present dream car.
Itβs always been a dream of mine to own a proper sports car, and Iβm seriously considering buying a BMW M340i, which costs about 80L on-road. Financially, I can make it work β the EMI would be around 50β60K, which is manageable on my current income. My parents are retired Grade A civil servants and are financially stable, so I donβt have any family obligations or dependencies and may get a decent inheritance given I am the only child.
That said, Iβm aware this kind of lifestyle upgrade comes with long-term implications. Right now, I have the freedom to walk away from my corporate job if things get too stressful, mainly because I have no liabilities. Taking on this EMI would change that dynamic β not drastically, but it would tie me down to some extent.
Iβm conflicted between sticking to the βfinancial wisdomβ of avoiding lifestyle inflation vs. going for something that has been a lifelong dream. Realistically, Iβll probably earn more over the years, but I also know I wonβt be in my 20s forever β this is probably the only time a sports car will actually feel as fun as I imagine it to be.
So Iβm wondering: for others in the profession or in a similar life stage, what would you do? Would you stay the course or get the dream car?
Omega or Timex?
Such is the question.
if yes, iβd be grateful if this community can help locating the chamber/firm, much obliged!
ps: the metropolitan magistrateβs court would still be functional during june no matter what.
Don't look at what others are getting
However, seeing my peers at law firms earn so much, makes me really want to switch to a firm.
Litigation is also very unpredictable, but can be very cumbersome as well if you're in a drafting office.
I am still deliberating if going for a law firm (disputes or some niche field but getting demoted to a lower level) is worth the money and the stable growrh.
I would appreciate suggestions for Good law chambers or firms in Bengaluru that offer long-term internships with the possibility of a PPO. My primary interest lies in criminal practice.

Though I'd recommend you to stay away from corp law firms, most of them are toxic in some or the other way. Most people go into them only because they need money and can't afford litigation or can't do it.
You should definitely give litigation a shot, given that money is not an issue, you'll be working at your terms and the work also is more fulfilling. It's a good life. Just without pay for a good long period of time.
If youβve gotten into National Law School, Bangalore, then honestly, without a doubt β go there. The kind of exposure and opportunities youβll get, especially in terms of faculty and the overall environment, is on another level. Even if youβre not super academically inclined right now (at 17, 18, or whatever age), it will make a huge difference in the long run.
NUJS, in comparison, has a fairly insipid faculty lineup. Maybe one or two are relatively decent, but even they arenβt particularly standout. The administration is also quite difficult to deal with.
Sure, the student pool across top ranks is somewhat similar, so youβll have good peers either way. But NLS offers something more β just being around people working in legal anthropology, ethnographic research, social justice, and so on. Even if you're pursuing mainstream legal careers, being in that kind of space opens up new ways of thinking. Over five years, that matters.
Of course, NLS has its flaws too β itβs a public institution, so there will be politics and the usual messiness. But if you just look through their News and Events page, the kind of things that happen there regularly are amazing. Even by osmosis, youβll grow a lot.
I understand if you have personal reasons for wanting to stay in Kolkata, but really β Bangalore is just a short flight away. And with the trimester system, you get enough breaks to come back home, do internships in Kolkata, etc. Youβll be able to balance things out.
Anyway, just wanted to say this openly β I really hope you choose the path thatβs right for you. But if youβre deciding between these two, my vote is strongly for NLS.
easier to find a good M&A team compared to the other two based on sheer probability
not all firms have full fledged cap marks practices in delhi
all of them are transferable to foreign jurisdictions BUT cap marks and b&f more so
all are transactional take what you get the team is more important that the practice area
In any case both are T2, with NLUO having a slight edge due to being older.
2 SnR
2 AZB
Baad me to Anupam and Akshay would be appointing judges.
But if you want to stick to insurance regulatory only, then the options are few and you might have to dig in a bit.
The attrition rates are not much in teams like this niche. So make sure you do your research on this before reaching out.
Note: Their conversion success rate is subjective and based on other people's experiences.
Also, they don't charge from you, the firm instead pays them for recruitment.
2. Admin intervention: The university admin has been exerting increasing control over academic matters, leading to a significant curtailment of both academic freedom and freedom of expression. This interference may, in part, be attributed to a certain someone joining a certain party. Ex. recent backlash over linkedin posts and disciplinary action on professors (seriously?!?).
3. Allocation of subjects: Beyond elective courses, where faculty members generally have the freedom to teach subjects aligned with their interests, there exists little autonomy in the assignment of core courses. Professors are frequently required to teach subjects outside their primary areas of expertise. For instance, known ADR-expert professor teaching Evidence. Or a company law professor (who did not in-fact know company law), now teaching environment law (who again cannot teach environment law). And we had foreign faculties who were devoid of any Indian legislation expertise teach environment law. This I think is the biggest issue, because at the end of the day, students do not take elective courses that seriously and core courses are not taught properly either.
I may have grammar errors or typo errors but this is a gossip site guys lmao duck it we ball.
Their retirement is also sorted coz most of them become arbitrators or on government panels. All these factors put together doesn't necessitate them to save up for future like commoners.
They also have good access to folks who can help them invest their money very well.
Whatever others say and do, its a massive advantage to be in the Top 3/4 NLUs
I have stopped litigating assuming that I would focus on the applications solely and would get a job in 1-2 months. I do not intend to go back to litigation.
I wanted to know how can I utilise my time efficiently, till the time I receive an offer from a law firm. I do not wish to just sit at home waiting for these firms to reply, doesnβt seem prudent. Also if thereβs anything I can do to fasten up the process a little.
Should I take up a course or start doing some research work just not sure.
It would be great if someone who was in a similar situation like me could share some insights.
Please help. I need continuation of practise and don't want to risk it. So just trying to be sure.
Thanks.
Thanks. Ref will be appreciated.
From the very beginning I've wanted to join NUJS,but now with my rank I can also get NLS but the thing is I'm still leaning towards NUJS due to a certain non-academic reason (personal reasons....you may make a guess :β -β ) ).
So is choosing NUJS over NLS a big mistake?
I mean idk...NUJS has better placements and stuff....and I don't have a problem with NUJS campus...
At the end of the day I've to spend 5 years in my college,so considering that,is choosing NUJS over NLS really self sabotaging or is the difference minimal?
(My reason for preferring NUJS as I said is personal...and driven not by logic)
(1) maintain a good rank
(2) publish corporate related blogs in irccl etc
(3) do a moot in corp law
(4) plan and apply in advance to the places you want to intern at. To determine where you want to intern, notice the trajectory of people that work where you finally want to land up at.
Try your best to follow this. Donβt worry if you try your best and some things donβt happen, just give you best

Also, do I need to attach a cover letter, or is a well-written email body sufficient?
