What I don’t understand is: where do I go from here?
Hinge was a wasteland. Bumble wasn’t much better. People swipe without intention, without curiosity, without even the basic ability to hold a normal conversation. It’s like the collective attention span has collapsed.

But empathy works both ways right. What about the mental health of the people who work under you. It’s one thing to say someone may be struggling, but that can’t become a blanket excuse for inefficiency or behaviour that affects everyone around them. The support staff, juniors, colleagues, and teams who have to constantly cover for mistakes, handle last-minute chaos or deal with unpredictable conduct also take a huge mental toll. I rest my case. I will not reply further.
Before we rush to judge, mock, or label someone as incompetent or difficult, it’s worth remembering that lawyers are human too.

About difficulty to become a partner, I think it's just as much as any other practice area, or maybe a little more because it's more difficult to stick around in CM. But since people keep leaving, if you get through 4-5 years, competition lessens. Sticking around for at least a decade should help you start your own books.
