After the inaction of Misra, Gogoi etc a lot was expected of Chandrachud, as he has a doctorate from Harvard. Instead, we find that he is only giving lectures at NLUD and Jindal. He doesn’t seem to be visiting NLUs elsewhere. He has set up a review commission with top foreign jurists at NLSIU, but not extended the same benefit to other NLUs. He hasn’t said a word on the corruption and autocracy that plagues NLU admins. Nothing about Nationalising NLUs like IIT and IIM. Nothing about giving a greater role to alumni like IIT and IIM.
