Basic HR questions like hobbies, strengths, and weaknesses. The kind which every firm asks but they expect in-depth answers. Do read up about the firm, the work they do thoroughly, including recent deals.
Most in-house roles for an intern involve contractual work. Reviewing, vetting and drafting clauses can be expected. While one may not get hardcore legal work as compared to a law firm or a practitioner and at times, working on contracts may sound dull and boring, take it as an opportunity to learn whatever maximum is possible.
In the long run, every internship experience rewards you with a more skilled yourself.
My recent internships have involved FEMA work, leaving me wanting to grasp a better FEMA foundational knowledge and not mere specific knowledge for the few particular research tasks I did.
Kindly consider this comment as my application to assist with LI Moderation. The two primary reasons to apply are: (i) having been a long-time reader of LI (5+ years), it has tremendously helped me in navigating law school and becoming a moderator would be an ideal way to give back to the community; and (ii) prior experience with forum moderating (non-legal/academic).
