I am an associate who has recently joined a tier 1 banking team and I am already very annoyed with my very gossipy and slow but not steady salaried partner. This person’s slow, lazy and miserable working style is a torture but what’s even more horrible is the amount of time spent by this individual in gossiping with peers and juniors and as a result we miss all client deadlines. This person will go to the extent of peeping into everyone’s laptops after a 4 pm lavish lunch just to get some information and god alone knows what information is being sought and for what purpose. This individual reaches office post noon and exits office before the admin staff. It seems this individual gets paid only to gossip and spy. I work directly with this individual and find it very embarrassing and also very frustrating due to all client complaints. The big boss doesn’t do anything about it and scolds the associates for all mistakes which this partner should have caught in the first place. Me and 1-2 other colleagues working with this individual are really troubled and want to change our reporting partner. We don’t know whom to approach. We associates want to be productive and motivated and can’t tolerate such negativity. Anyone listening?
