Pick one - either set strong boundaries or suck up and endure.
Setting boundaries sounds simple in theory, but it’s not that easy in a profession where everything is urgent and you’re expected to be available all the time. Especially when you care about your work and don’t want to let your team down. It’s easier said than done.
You can set boundaries, but that doesn’t mean people will respect them. In a work culture where everything is treated as urgent, enforcing those boundaries can come at the cost of being judged as less committed. It’s not as simple as just learning to say no.
Lol, reporting partners are just not capable of hearing and understanding the term "NO" / "NOT NOW"
Are you still doing DDs? Haven’t you moved on to the transactional side ?
