I said I got selected. Didn't say I took it up. Interview experience - as stated above.
NLSIU does not provide accommodation to Research Fellows. Some other research staff stay in the surplus rooms in off-campus residences meant for PG students, from what i hear. You might get those, if they are available.
Are they still hiring academic fellows or did they discontinue ?
There was no clarity on roles. People were given different tasks for different trimesters, lack of continuity, and very less use of their specialisation. That's all in brief
Thank you for that clarification. Can you please share your interview experience as well as the work that you did as a Fellow? Thank you.
Really? Can you please elaborate on that, if you don’t mind? Thanks.
No, connections with right folks really doesn't count (I got selected). All that matters is how well you're able to write your application and how well you do in an interview where you're grilled by Sudhir and a few other such profs.
I understand that academic pedigree would definitely play a role. But is it also about having connections with the right folks?
NLSIU started Academic Fellow position a few years ago. The experience was not that great for the fellows.
They prefer students from privileged backgrounds
Has anyone applied for these fellowships in the past? If so, how has their experience been? How competitive is the process? And what is the kind of work that usually happens? Does NLSIU also provide accommodation?
