We want LI to be one of the friendliest places on the internet, where lawyers and law students help each other with their career related queries and occasionally discuss other stuff that might affect their lives too. In other words:
1. Be kind, respectful and helpful to each other.
2. Be bona fide, truthful, genuine and curious.
3. Assume the best intention of others.

My father still implies many times that I am a loser. You should be bothered only by your own opinion. Loving your parents or being committed to them does not mean you should take their thoughts so seriously that it affects your well-being.
To some, things come easily and soon. Others have to work hard for it. Take baby steps. Think of a Plan B.
And may I just say one thing: with time, your financial reliance on parents will go down, and so will their criticism. And as for Indian parents, once they see that your profession is sorted, they will move to mock the state of your personal life.
It never ends. So I only advocate that you have a thick skin.

I did a couple of call backs too, but nothing really worked out. It's been 3 months since graduation, and I'm here at my room, without any improvements. I tried hard, stayed diligent. I thought I was enough, turns out I never was.
Whenever I speak about doing stuff professionally, my mom shuts me up saying you only say things verbally and won't do it. My father is very silent and he also thinks I'm a loser, he just don't say it to me. They supported me all throughout, and nothing to blame them. Idk what to do now.
