If you're from a Tier-1 NLU, a foreign LLM will not help. You will only 'lose' a year unless you genuinely want to have fun for a year. For those from lesser-rung NLUs, they're beneficial as it provides a leg-up.
This idiot presumes you're doing an LLM for higher studies and to return to India, not as the next step to move overseas.
Mostly done to try and work there (which for select few works, but sanjeet from samosa university won't exactly make it so magic circle.
You can become a Professor in Jindal and chill once you have a foreign LLM
LLM shall not help your career if you have no PQE, my suggestion would be to work in a law firm for a couple of years and then go for LLM at Oxbridge; it shall boost your career much more than doing LLM as a fresher
"No one ignores oxbridge degree"
tell this to the district court judge who will throw away your bail petition in 5 minutes.
There are Oxbridge grads desperately applying for jobs in tier 2s.
Almost anyone can get into Cambridge. I've seen freshers from Christ, Vips and VIT? boasting on linkedin that they got in. All you need is money and that's it.
Instead of llm. Try SQE UK/ California Bar Exam. Much cheaper and better. Cost is 1/7th of an LLM. And you will get better opportunities.
