2. It was Dharmendra Pradhan who dragged his daughter in the education debate by claiming that his daughter studied Marathi till class 8 (in the context of the CBSE language debate). The impression one may get from this statement is that she went to a regular, middle-class CBSE school. That may be, but certainly over the past decade her educational background has been extremely elite and insulated from the issues that middle-class Indians attending ordinary government colleges face.
3. Scroll’s broader point is that children of all the Modi govt ministers attend university abroad and this is indeed true. Literally every minister’s kid. Many work abroad too.
