We should petition Elon Musk to acquire LI and let free speech flow with zero moderation, just like X.
Because it is not cool to have the ability to defame people anonymously.
The legal way to avoid liability is to mention the Company, Law Firm or partner by using a butchered version of their name.

Eg: For companies, Gagool, BIM, Mook Tahendra, etc

For people: Gahul Randhi, Marendra Gobi, etc

Have you ever heard of the dilution to such protection?
So you can wait months for a HR reply but not a da for LI's approval?
I do not believe the necessity of moderation is being doubted, but the time-frame in which it is carried out- especially when many of us are (were?) used to similar moderation being carried out much sooner than it is now (which seems to be once or twice a day atp).
LI isn't the State. It has no duty whatsoever to protect your free speech.
I agree with your point as well. But the whole point of a forum is to have an active discussion on relevant topics. If I’ve to wait 24 plus hours to get a reply, you tend to lose interest. The essence of the forum gets lost in my view.

The moderation seems to have really fallen off, with it taking 1-2 days to get any message cleared, even the most benign ones.

Nobody cares about an anonymous platform like LI. Visitors count here has dropped 80%.
