- Those who are out by default are the TMC ministers: Moloy Ghatak (Law), Chandrima Bhattacharya (Finance), Bratya Basu (Education) etc.
- Also out is the old Advocate General (Kishore Datta). This is the only post where the new occupant has been named.
- There is another TMC MLA, Ashok Deb, but he is there in the capacity of WB Bar Council Chairman. He will stay until the next bar election in March 2027, which will presumably see a BJP lawyer. But I wouldn't put it past the BJP to stage an Operation Lotus and get him out earlier.
- Then there is Kalyan Bandopadhyay, TMC MP. Out for sure.
- Also out for sure will be Indrajit Dube (NKC's man), Sanjay Basu of Aquilaw and certain pro-TMC lawyers.
So in all a huge change coming.
