If I want to start my career with tech startup in Bangalore as an in-house counsel and I am from a tier 1 NLU, what would my pay look like? Is it the right direction or should I start with working in a law firm and then switching?
Depends on how much funding they have. Usually a "startup" startup doesn't even have permanent legal employees. Expect somewhere bw 6-10L. Could be more if they are in late funding stages.
Why would you want to start with an in house role? No decent company will hire you, and if they do, they'll make you push paper.
