I understand you can't censor people, and there are a lot of posts on the platform that are off-topic, but my issue is with the sockpuppeting and the fact that OP never discloses that it is a sponsored post or that OP has ties with the organisation that could add some bias. Sharing news and views versus sharing them and then replying as if you're another person who's impressed by it is what I'm against. The platform gets tens of posts about NLUs every month, but the core difference is that people aren't necessarily trying to promote their universities, except some first-years, but even they aren't engaging in sockpuppeting.

You can promote whatever you feel like promoting, but sockpuppeting crosses the line. OP made a post and then commented on it as a different person himself, trying to create a consensus that absolutely doesn't exist. No one is talking about taking away his freedom of speech, but trying to create engagement where none exists is extremely wrong. Some guy who appeared for CLAT and couldn't get a good enough rank for an NLU might buy this at face value, even when contradictory evidence is visible. If OP is promoting, he should add a note saying so, and should not try to reply to his own comments as different people. There's a reason why when YouTubers promote a product, they're expected to tell you that it is sponsored.

Would tend to agree, to some extent. They clearly have a big budget for PR and astro-turfing on a variety of forums. Though it seems they mostly exist to fill a niche of the ecosystem, which the government is happy to invest money in.

But maybe that is not really the target audience of LI, as forensics isn't really in the 'traditional' field of legal practitioners, so it's a bit off topic. However, there is a lot of off topic being posted, so it is also easy to ignore posts about NSFU.

We'll try to keep an eye on it and if threads on NSFU are very repetitive or don't share anything new, will try to moderate (though if there's some genuine news involved, maybe posting it makes sense)

Exactly I haven't heard anyone from RRU speak like that even though they are doing better than nfsu

And it's not about the college it's about how they become future leaders in their field . Nfsu was established 13 years back and till now I haven't seen/heard of any startup idea/innovative idea that has contributed/added some value in forensic field

So there is no harm if we say nfsu is just another university where students are just there for placements

There's an NFSU near my NLU, and believe me, no one even talks or thinks about it. Many don't even know it exists. Please, for the love of God, stop this.

Please stop NFSU boasting. Firstly name itself is too narrow in scope. Forensic university looks like petroleum university. Secondly all forensic jobs in India done by CFSL and State Forensic Laboratories. No NFSU graduate getting jobs there. Any science graduate from any university can join central or state forensic science laboratory passing a competitive exam. I fail to understand why Govt spending so much in this field of very limited use. Forensic science is not like computer science or medicine impacting wider section of society. It’s a very small field limited to police investigation. If you see its use in legal field, it has no role on constitutional law, international law, human rights, corporate law, ADR, etc. Limited use in criminal law field. So one paper out of 30 papers in LLB is forensic science. That’s it. Don’t make a mountain out of a molehill.

You are grossly mistaken. The role of forensics (in all its specialisations and streams is pivotal to corporate law as well. UGC has taken the right decision. With the complexities of new-age crimes, it could not have been timed better. Lawyers will now have to prove a crime 'scientifically'. In science, an eye witness account has no value.

One university sees students protesting for basic subsistence-level infrastructure like water and hostels, while the other becomes a trailblazer in shaping India's legal ecosystem and protecting the nation's critical digital infrastructure.
