Sorry but my internship stipend was more
Inappropriate work environment
Salary deductions
Not giving salaries on time
Not giving the bonus due
Forcing people to quit / sending them termination emails
Partners are abusive in general, it is on record
These are all a0, a1ss……
How are such practices acceptable?
While this associate was made to work on matters till the last day
Some people have got over 5k as yearly deduction cumulatively for making mistakes, not answering the partners phone calls, coming 5 mins late to office etc
Sad state of affairs
This is so funny

Guys, sorry there's been no updates in the bank accounts today. Apparently the cheques need only my signature...which Prince told me on asking only half an hour ago. 🤦 Anyway, we are working on alternates so that the retainers plus a few goodies should reflect in the accounts by day after (tom is bank holiday). Sorry for the delay and thanks for a fab financial year.
The core dispute: after tendering notice, the firm unilaterally curtailed the contractual 30-day notice period by cutting the last working day short — conveniently avoiding the obligation to pay fee in lieu of notice. The timing is hard to miss: the truncation neatly sidestepped a bonus payment that would have triggered at month-end under the retainership terms.
The notice goes further — raising claims for a promised increment with arrears effective November 2025, which the firm strung along with vague, non-committal responses for months. When pushed, the partners apparently told the associate to “remind them in March” — and then quietly ensured there was no March to remind them in.
The firm’s reply cited performance concerns — without a single particular to back them up. Convenient, given that during the entire period the associate was being billed out to clients and appreciated internally.
The notice also flags professional misconduct by the partners and an inappropriate work environment — details the associate says they’re happy to share with moderators directly.
