These ones are out immediately.
1. Biman Banerjee, WB Assembly Speaker and TMC MLA
2. Bratya Basu, WB Education Minister and TMC MLA (now ex-MLA: lost his seat)
3. Moloy Ghatak, WB Law Minister and TMC MLA (now ex-MLA:also lost).. his removal is big as he was the one pushing for a campus in his constituency Asansol)
4. Chandrima Bhattacharya, WB Industries Minister and TMC MLA (now ex-MLA, also lost).
5. Kishore Datta, Advocate General (pre-Covid the SJA openly clashed with him and criticised him in a letter: shared on LI at that time)
It’s very likely that Swapan Dasgupta will be included, as one of the major ministers (Education Minister, most likely). Possibly Sanjeev Sanyal as Finance Minister, if he is parachuted from Delhi.
The next AG could be a certain NLSIU alum from the older batches who is close to the BJP (not sharing the name now). Or perhaps an older and highly distinguished Senior Advocate, who was not part of the TMC ecosystem (not sharing the name, but his area is mostly commercial law).

In the past, legends like Justice Ruma Pal, KK Venugopal, Gopal Subramanyam, Dipankar Gupta were on the GC. What the BJP could do is appoint high-profile senior counsels of national stature who are part of the BJP ecosystem, like Harish Salve, Mahesh Jethmalani, ASG Vikramjeet Banerji, Pinky Anand, Aman Lekhi etc. Or even the Attorney General and Solicitor General. Another option would be retired SC judges close to the BJP: there are several. An ultimate troll move would be to appoint J Sai Deepak. 😮

My money would be on Raj Kumar of JGLS, since he is now firmly pro-BJP. Alternatively, they may simply invite tier 1 NLU VCs.
Those who will stay on are ex-officio national appointees, like the UGC Chairman, BCI Chairman and IIM Calcutta Director.
