I'd ask you to get in touch with your partner/HR and ask politely for a 4 week internship, if possible. If you've secured the internship on merit, it ideally shouldn't be impossible. There are some who also get a week extension during the internship, but these cases are few and far between.
Offline has better conversion chances, since you're working with the team in person and you form those personal bonds which make it easier for them to pick you over hundreds of other people.
