I'm starting as an associate at one of the tier 1's. Since I had spent a large portion of my career at a boutique, I want to understand and prepare myself for the inevitable change in the environment. My time at a boutique firm was primarily in a laxed environment, clocking within 40 hours, handling 2-3 transactions at a time and reviewing transaction documents and handling negotiations.
I'm slightly anxious about the change and hence, would love to hear your thoughts if any of you went through the same situation and how you overcame the same in order to be successful. I'm open to hear any and all observations such as new learnings, things you had to unlearn, soft skills, mannerisms, culture, mindset in approaching work and seniors at a Tier-1 etc.
