Have been interning, and use Liquidtext, and cannot deny without ipad, cannot function. Ipad is essential. Besides that, I have seen every lawyer, those in litigation, has an iphone and a mac. Any specific reason? I dont think I'll have to change my laptop in the near future, but will have to change phones, and while an iphone would be costly, should I get so? as regards laptop, have been using a software which is available only on windows for dictation for drafting, which is amazing, but its only for windows, does not work on mac. Since i dont think i'll have the privilege to get to use the services of a steno for the first few years, i think going with my windows is the best. I also sometimes feel inferior for having the only android phone in an environment where everyone uses iphone(very subtly - psychologically)
In light of the same,
1. Why do lawyers in litigation use iphones and mac? [focus on drafting and research for mac, and use liquidtext - thats all i need a laptpop for]
2. Should i get an iphone? [parents are agreeable, but i wanna know the pros and cons]
3. if yes, which one would you suggest? [please, something lesser than 1L]
4. Does liquidtext work on iphone also?
5. What to do about my laptop? Should i change nowor later?
note - i use the student version of liquidtext. Also no use of ipad and lappy other than research, drafting, and LT (on ipad) and the occassional movie watching on netflix.
Would be grateful for answers.
