is nlsiu worth it or am i romanticizing hostel food and sleep deprivation? is nlsiu actually as good as everyone makes it sound? like the food, the crowd, the whole experience?
No law college is worth romanticising in India. Be it NLS, or be it ILI.
Whatโ€™s good about law school is not that being in law school is some resort type experience. You work a lot, you make some friends, that bit is just fine. Whatโ€™s good about law school is what it does for the next few years of your career and life.
We have a campus dog named NALSAR

- real nls student
A few years ago, even NLUO had a black Chitkabra dog named Nalsar.
That toh Sudhir keeps a pet hamster in his house called Law School.
NALSAR as a campus is better than NLSIU. Only aesthetically superior thing in NLSIU is that iconic building plus library
if you were a real real nls student, you'd know almost no one refers to the dog as NALSAR

:)
There's no sleep deprivation for sure, unless you want to deprive yourself
No bro - people end up working in the same firms so donโ€™t get disheartened if you didnโ€™t make it to NLS. Reality is equally humbling for everyone once you enter the gates of hell or so called t-1 firms.
Unfortunately, tier-1 firms nowadays just keep hiring tier-3/4 graduates because the odds of such people ever leaving are significantly lower than a tier-1 NLU grad.
Comparing Apples to Oranges. We will go there as well, when IISC starts a law degree.
This is comparing one university with another. As simple as that - no apples, no oranges. Have you ever asked the question, why is NLS not even within the NIRF Top 50 as a university in India? โ–ฎโ–ฎโ–ฎ
At an NLU student can tell the difference b/w a Central/State/Deemed University!!!

Do not compare, chill!
GNLU is way better than IISc, IISER, NISER combined.
Not worth it. There is a high chance you won't even bag a job after all that they put you through.
If being just better than HNLU counts as something then, Yeah..
A third generation lawyer from GLC is laughing in the corner.
