And I am saying this with absolute seriousness. The college does not give two hoots about you, unless you are from a privileged background in which case the world is your oyester- you can manipulate everything from grades to jobs. You won't come out as a stronger person. They will break you down and age you beyond measure. You're better off in other colleges like Nalsar, infact I would say you are better off doing something else all together or atleast a profession where there is some semblance of merit. In my time at Law school, I had a rude realisation: This profession is 90 percent nepotism with a narrow funnel of 10 percent merit- even there if you are not privileged or have high status parents (think VC of companies, directors, CXOs etc.), you will be doomed. You will see children of these high ranking officials and white collared professionals getting the best jobs and teams actively looking for this because it brings them more clientele. I had really humble beginnings and faced so much classism in this institution and in firms- it hollowed me from within. People treated me like a dispensable product because I wasn't bringing anything to the table (by that I mean- pedigree of being wealthy, having high ranking parents) Sincerity, Good work product is not enough- even half competent nepo babies have that. Look around and see the professors NLS hires- all of them are foreign LLM hires, as if that alone would make them good at teaching. Look at their backgrounds- they have so much generational wealth that they could pour lakhs and lakhs if not crores funding their education for a span of a decade and ask yourself if anyone coming from lower middle class family could afford to stay out of employment for so long. Worst part is I came in without rose coloured glasses on, I was far more self aware than most kids are and yet I decided to get into this hell of a place. No doubt I enjoyed studying, also did well, but ultimately this place failed me so much. Please don't opt for this profession, and if you do chose to, please don't opt for this institution- it isn't what it used to be.

great professors, focused on academics, a lot of stufff to do apart from academics as well, great guest lectures, decent sports and fitness culture, good networking opportunities. Won't comment on food as we have a lot of options around, plus delivery apps exist. The NLS tag certainly has helped me a lot. Admin is a bitch tho, apart from that its cool. You can sleep decently given that you manage your time well, first month of the trim is mostly chill, the other two aren't. Would say it was definitely worth it for me (its a v subjective question).
