This begs the question: will law firms hire just anybody to be on their payroll as long as they turn in a halfway decent work regardless of how actively damaging these people are to many others?
I’m not an idealist and I know in a practical sense, it makes sense that any halfway decent worker will get hired. But seeing the kind of people getting into leading firms makes me realise why the law firm culture is so toxic in the first place.
